25 Basic Pneumatics Interview Questions You Must Know (For Freshers & Beginners)

🛠️ PNEUMATICS INTERVIEW QUESTIONS – BASIC LEVEL (1 to 25)

1. Pneumatics kya hota hai?

Answer: Pneumatics ek technology hai jisme compressed air ka use karke mechanical motion generate kiya jata hai. Yeh mostly automation systems, machinery, aur tools mein use hoti hai.

2. Pneumatics aur Hydraulics mein kya difference hai?

Answer: Pneumatics mein air use hoti hai jabki hydraulics mein oil. Pneumatics systems light aur fast hote hain, lekin hydraulics zyada force generate kar sakta hai.

3. Compressed air ka pressure kitna hota hai industry mein?

Answer: Normally 6 to 7 bar (approx. 90 to 100 PSI) tak ka pressure use hota hai general industrial pneumatic systems mein.

4. Pneumatic system ke main components kaun se hote hain?

Answer: Compressor, air filter, regulator, lubricator (FRL unit), valves, actuators (like cylinders), pipelines, aur fittings.

5. Compressor kya karta hai?

Answer: Compressor ambient air ko suck karta hai aur usse high pressure par compress karke store karta hai – ye hi compressed air pneumatic system ko chahiye hoti hai.

6. FRL unit ka kya role hota hai?

Answer: FRL = Filter, Regulator, Lubricator.

  • Filter air ko clean karta hai,
  • Regulator pressure control karta hai,
  • Lubricator moving parts ko lubrication deta hai.

7. Single acting cylinder kya hota hai?

Answer: Single acting cylinder mein sirf ek direction mein air supply hoti hai (extend), aur return spring ke through hota hai.

8. Double acting cylinder kya hota hai?

Answer: Ismein dono directions (extend aur retract) mein air supply hoti hai, isliye force dono taraf equal hota hai. Spring ki zarurat nahi hoti.

9. Pneumatic valve kya hota hai?

Answer: Valve ek controlling device hota hai jo air ka flow control karta hai. Ye decide karta hai air kis direction mein aur kis component mein jayegi.

10. 3/2 valve kya hota hai?

Answer: 3 ports aur 2 positions wali valve hoti hai. Mostly single acting cylinders ke liye use hoti hai – ek port air supply ka, ek output ka, aur ek exhaust ka.

11. 5/2 valve kya hoti hai?

Answer: 5 ports aur 2 positions wali valve – ye double acting cylinder ke liye use hoti hai. Dono directions mein air flow control karti hai.

12. Pneumatic actuator kya hota hai?

Answer: Actuator wo device hai jo compressed air ko mechanical motion mein convert karta hai – jaise linear cylinders ya rotary actuators.

13. Air filter kyun zaroori hai?

Answer: Air filter compressed air se dust, moisture aur oil particles nikalta hai, jisse system clean aur smooth kaam karta hai.

14. Pressure regulator ka use kya hai?

Answer: Regulator system ke pressure ko fix aur constant banaye rakhta hai, jisse over-pressure se components damage na ho.

15. Lubricator ka function kya hai?

Answer: Lubricator compressed air mein oil mist add karta hai jo moving parts ko lubrication deta hai – friction aur wear reduce hota hai.

16. Pneumatic tools ka example do.

Answer: Pneumatic drill, impact wrench, grinder, nail gun – ye sab tools compressed air se chalte hain.

17. Air compressor ke types kaun se hote hain?

Answer: Mainly 2 types:

  • Reciprocating compressor (piston type),
  • Rotary compressor (screw or vane type).

18. Pneumatic system ka advantage kya hai?

Answer: Fast speed, safai (clean system), simple design, kam maintenance cost, aur safe operation kyunki air non-explosive hoti hai.

19. Pneumatic system ka drawback kya hai?

Answer: Low force output compared to hydraulics, compressed air leak hone ka chance, aur noise level thoda zyada hota hai.

20. Cylinder stroke kya hota hai?

Answer: Stroke ka matlab hai piston ki movement ki total length – yani kitna piston extend ya retract kar sakta hai.

21. Pneumatic symbols ka use kyun hota hai?

Answer: Symbols se circuit diagrams easily samjhe ja sakte hain – har component ka standard symbol hota hai jisse reading easy ho jati hai.

22. Muffler kya hota hai pneumatic system mein?

Answer: Muffler exhaust air ko silently release karta hai, jisse noise kam hota hai aur surrounding safe rehti hai.

23. Pilot operated valve kya hoti hai?

Answer: Is valve ko control karne ke liye ek choti air signal (pilot air) use hoti hai – mostly automation ke liye use hoti hai.

24. Solenoid valve kya hoti hai?

Answer: Ismein electric coil hoti hai jo magnetism se valve ko open ya close karti hai – automation mein widely use hoti hai.

25. Pneumatic system mein safety kaise maintain ki jati hai?

Answer: Proper pressure regulation, leak checking, over-pressure relief valves lagake, aur FRL unit use karke system safe rakha jata hai.

What are the causes if lube oil found in fuel

H ere's a concise explanation for each possible cause of lube oil found in the engine fuel: 1. Faulty Injector Cups: Worn or damaged injector cups can lead to lube oil from the engine's lubrication system seeping into the fuel system during injection, causing oil contamination in the fuel mixture.   2. Failed Fuel Injector Seals: Seals on the fuel injectors that have deteriorated or failed can allow lube oil to enter the fuel system, resulting in oil mixing with the fuel during injection. 3. Leaking Fuel Injector O-Rings: Damaged or worn O-rings on the fuel injectors can permit lube oil leakage into the fuel system, contributing to oil contamination of the fuel.   4. Fuel System Contamination: Contaminated fuel or debris within the fuel system can mix with lube oil, leading to oil contamination of the fuel supply that enters the engine. 5. Faulty Fuel Pump Seals: Worn or damaged seals within the fuel pump can enable lube oil to mix with the fuel during pumping, ...
